「Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.」

La ubicación del hotel no puede ser mejor y la alberca esta en la terraza y eso le da tener una vista increíble. 「We had a horrible experience before coming to this place so we were extraordinarily happy to find a clean location. This place is brand new so it’s very clean and wonderful. The only thing I would say is that if you’re planning a big visit to Tamarindo stay at this place in 2027 and check that the construction is finished. They are currently building a club and pool area on the beach across from the rooms that we stayed at. If you stay before 2027 and you want a pool, they are offering for you...

「This property was incredible. The staff were friendly and incredibly attentive. Excursions were fun. Our only negative was the food. Breakfast was perfect every morning at the market but the remaining meals were fair at best.」

「While the staff was amazing and the property was very beautiful, the roads to get to the hotel were not paved. Not only were they not paved but at some point they (local government) closed the entrance and no one was notified. It took me contacting the hotel so the concierge could walk us through how to get to the hotel. It was not until two days later when I complained that we received a letter and a map. This was not well planned with the city. Very disappointing.」

「If you're in the area, I cannot recommend Conchal enough. It's a gorgeous little boutique hotel with a small number of rooms, which makes the experience feel less cookie-cutter. The staff are incredible, & the space itself looks exactly like the pictures - full of greenery & wildlife, & the pool is perfect. Things to note if you plan on staying here: - It's not a luxury hotel, but the staff will give you luxury hotel service. - The hotel itself is right off a main road, so you WILL hear traffic...

「The place is nice but simple. Good for a night or two. It rained all days so wifi was not good, but Staff was very helpful. Beach is across the street and 10 min away you’ll find restaurants and supermarkets」

「The ocean was not really accessible, too many rocks. Most of the staff was not friendly especially at the buffet restaurant. The food wasn't that great, there weren't that many options. The nightly shows weren't that entertaining. They had a pool bar next to the pool but you couldn't access the bar if you were wet. Don't see the point of a pool bar if you can't get to it. We saw vomit in the pool and no one came to clean it. After an hour we told someone else and the pool guy just dismissed us...

「The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!」

The pools were wonderful and our spa experience was extremely positive. Overall good value for dollar. Our only complaint would be the cost of a poolside drink - it was wild!」
