"Great hotel on a beautiful beach situated close enough to Kawazu Town that you could walk. Surfers in sea along a wonderful view of the sea. My only disappointment was the first might we arrived the restaurants were booked or closed and the only option was “bar food” which was a delicious charcuterie board, we ordered two. Awesome staff that went above and beyond with service even though they were short staffed. "

"The room had an incredible ocean view. The breakfast was extensive and interesting. It would have been helpful to have a little more explanation in English of how to prepare for going into the onsen. We were provided with yukutas (robes), obis (belts) and haoris (vests that go over the yukutas), which we learned we should wear with slippers to the public places in the hotel, including the lounge, dining room and down to the onsen (hot spring). We would have appreciated a few more nuts or other snack selections during happy hour. The dessert hour selections were extensive. A couple of helpful tips: the hotel offers a shuttle bus from the Izu-Inatori train station until 7 pm. If you don't pre-book dinner at the hotel, there are restaurants nearby, but the walk to them is dark and the road is twisty. We took a cab to an excellent Korean BBQ restaurant called Tora No Ana and then walked back to the hotel. A really wonderful, authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience. Google Translate is your best friend."

"The hotel has excellent facilities, in particular with private outdoor hot spring water bath, which is very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is excellent, but little too expensive. The hotel also has shuttle bus to the train station. Some facilties need proper maintainence, such as basin. Cleaness could be improved. "We checked in and were immediately surprised at how dated and inelegant it was. We decided to keep an open mind and waited for our room to be prepared, but when we were shown to our room, it was tiny with barely any room for anything but the futons in the middle of the floor. There was mold everywhere and an enormous spider in the closet of a bathroom from the moment we arrived (so house keeping must not have bothered even looking in there). The “private onsen” is just a bathtub on the balcony, which is in complete disrepair. We explained our concerns to the staff and ultimately stayed less than an hour- we requested reimbursement for at least the second of the two nights we booked, particularly since we booked last minute only hours before arriving, so we knew we weren’t taking up a reservation for a room they would have otherwise been able to book someone else in. Expedia was unable to reach them have sent two emails any have gotten no response. This hotel looks nothing like the photos and the conditions are unacceptable. "

"Current condition of the hotel is much much worse than the photos in the property listing. Aside from the sea view, the property was in poor condition. The outdoor pool of the onsen was nice being able to hear the waves crashing on the shore. Neighborhood is really sad with many boarded up hotels and almost no restaurants. "
