Pensions in Hungary

"I spent 3 nights there February 2023. It was my +20th time in Budapest, the first time on my own and my worst stay. I wanted to be away from the center and big hotels for a change. I was utterly disappointed and reminded of times long past when Hungary was still part of the Eastern Block. 1. Prices for 2 were the same as for one (I was by myself) when I stayed. Instead of a nice big room as in the pictures I got a very small room onto the street and next to the entrance. the staircase leading to...

"The room it self is lovely the shared kitchen and facilities are more the adequate. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The area directly next to the accommodation is a bit run down but on the other hand it’s perfectly located to the centre of Debrecen with lots of bars and restaurants close by. The biggest downside is the disco opposite that played really loud until at least 5am which really messed up what was up to that time a great stay. "

"Property is very conveniently located by the wine cellars of the famous Eger wineries. You can walk in few minutes to do wine tasting to a lot of premium wine cellars and restaurants."

"This is an all around excellent property with personalized service and an exceptional buffet breakfast. Location is on a quiet residential street yet close to transportation and the lake. "

"Bettlaken war bei Anreise schmutzig. Wurde nach Beschwerde sofort gewechselt. Versprochener Drink aufs Haus wurde nie eingelöst. Zimmerreinigung angkündigt nur alle 3 Tage (ist ok). Dazu fand man aber auch noch ein Schreiben im Zimmer, sollte man in der Zwischenzeit Handtücher benötigen, müsste man 30,- Euro extra zahlen. Keine kaffeemaschine oder wasserkocher oder kühlschrank im zimmer. Für den Preis ist die Ausstattung sehr mäßig. "
