Great stay, this was our first time in a motel in over 20 years. Rob’s service is amazing, he helped answer any of our questions and we had a great conversation! Our room was cozy and clean! We didn’t use the pool due to the weather but it looked nice and warm. Would definitely recommend a stay and would come back here again!

This was a beautiful property in which the owner, Retro Rob, has done everything right to make your stay welcoming and relaxing. The rooms are simple but you have everything you could need and more. And you can use the $1 bus service, the Interurban, to go all over Saugatuck/Douglas.

Great weekend getaway. Loved everything about the Retro Motel, it was clean and comfy, pool is fab, good location but the best part about it was Rob! What a kind, caring soul - the world could use more humans like him!

Nice renovated roadside motel with beautiful property and pool and friendly, informative staff. Rooms are small as old roadside motel rooms are, but nicely furnished and it was quiet when we were there. Would definitely return!

The Retro Resort was everything we were hoping for and more for a little escape. The room was cute and clean, the pool was so nice and refreshing, and the property itself was absolutely beautiful and felt very secluded. We made a last minute decision to go to a festival, there weren’t many options so we jumped and booked our weekend here. I’m so happy we did!! Rob was amazing to work with and gave us some amazing info about the area. The grounds were absolutely stunning, the pool was beautiful and our room was perfect!! fun hotel with friendly staff. Pool is set in the middle of the property and is surrounded by mature trees. Could have done without the Frank Sinatra music playing all day long. Yes, I understand it is a 'retro motel' and that music could be appeopriate but it was a bit much for me. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was ok, but would have liked some better pillows. No coffee until 9am - in the office. Affordable, and beautiful property. Overall a pretty nice motel.

I was going to have a later check-in, Rob called to check on my drive and see how we were and how much longer it was going to be before we were there. He left a local map for us and spent time talking to us to make sure we knew where to go for dinner and had everything we needed. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic! The rooms were cute, very well kept, and very clean. Wonderful place to stay!!
