"the sheets and towels were well worn, but not stained. the room was a bit stuffy but not enough to complain about. Overall acceptable. Breakfast was typical continental with some additional hot options, and very well attended, so better than average. The exterior of the property blends very well into the wooded surroundings in a way that feels serene and calming. I did not get a chance to use the pool, but it looked inviting and well-maintained. I would stay again."

"Just a lovely setting inside and outside. The house and grounds are so well maintained. As you approach the house, the landscaping is beautiful and the main floor of the house is furnished with antiques that are period perfect. Off the house is a lovely patio and fountain which are very inviting and comfortable. The dormer room we stayed in was very clean and nicely furnished. Very quiet. The continental breakfast was enjoyed in a dining room with small kitchen off to the side. A very relaxing stay!"

"If you're looking for a place to stay that's walkable to the the restaurants and shops it is a wonderful location. David, the owner/host provided a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast that was served was hearty, including breakfast casserole, fruit and juice/coffee.The menu changes each day, but it definitely will fill you up and was delicious and made with care. The stay was comfortable and appropriate for sleeping and rest after a day of exploring."

Clean, although you must accept cats walking the common area furniture and friendly dogs at your feet…which is stated clearly in the overview, so not a surprise. 100+ year old house with character, but bedroom and shower is updated. Owner Mollie is friendly and has relevant local suggestions. Breakfast fills the plate, lots of fresh fruit, an egg dish, small amount of meat…likely very healthy. Recommend J. Petter art gallery and Saugatuck Antique Pavilion. Area seems like play area for people stuck in cities who want to get away."
