Note that hotels.com incorrectly shows the location on the map, house is actually over an hour walk from the center of Windermere. Further, hotels.com inaccurately details free WiFi at the accommodation. Space itself is about as pictured. Very cosy, lovely garden, however did quite aggressively smell of wet dog and conservatory had some spiders/cobwebs. "

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"Recommend! Lovely house in a great location in Windermere. Inside feels modern yet classic featuring all the mod cons (except dishwasher). Everything works and is to a high standard. The owners or manager’s left a nice welcome present and folder with print out of all the features, amenities and processes to follow for our stay which we thought was a good touch. Had a great time and recommend. Not a negative more an FYI, master bed is a bit small if you’re a big person and no dishwasher. Aside...
