Room neglected. Chipped furtniture, wallpaper pealing off the walls. Spa bath took up half the bathroom and did not look inviting, sink unit cabinet was broken. Over all not looked after. Receptionist became abrupt / rude when informed of above. Certainly not a setting for a relaxed / cosey weekend. Requested immediate refund . Did not stay.

The room was beautiful. Very comfortable and cozy - the perfect place for a break in the Lake District. Breakfast was delicious with the extra touch of luxury of being delivered to the room. Vicky was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place, rooms was very clean, really nicely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. With a fully loaded mini bar which had everything you needed for a lovely stay.

We stayed for 3 nights here in the Coniston suite it was very clean and spacious with a small lounge area for watching TV and a table and chairs to eat at. A very good breakfast was brought to our room each morning. It’s a few minutes walk into Windermere. Would happily return.

Really well thought out. The attention to detail was standout as it was not over the top and gave a feel of luxurious comfort. The breakfast was outstanding. So good to have a small dining are inside the room. Breakfast arrived on a little trolly and the choice and quality was exceptional. Positioned between the two centres so it was easy to walk around both.

We absolutely loved our time at Windermere Suites and Windermere. Vicky and Alex were very welcoming and helpful. We loved their advice on places to see, their helpfulness and good conversation. The breakfast was delicious and very generous with a wide variety to choose from. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with a massive spa bath, mood lighting and tv. Our stay here has certainly been a highlight of our European trip!

Nice hotel and location

We booked this hotel for a romantic 2 night adults only getaway by the lakes. The hotel itself is fabulous - clean and welcoming. Our room was perfect for our stay offering luxurious and comfortable accommodation and the breakfast on offer was superb. We booked the hotel as it was suggested it was an adults only place. Unfortunately on our second day two families with children arrived and were staying in the rooms below ours - this meant we were woken from our afternoon nap to the sound of screeching kids and banging - it sounded like they were climbing the walls. On more than one occasion they were running around our car in the small car park to the rear as they visited each other in the two rooms below. Late in the evening on our last night our peace was short lived as we had to listen to them shouting to each other across the divide that separates the rooms, slamming doors and what sounded like someone urinating outside. So, all in all a great hotel, with great service and food in one of the best locations to see everything. However, I would be reluctant to rebook unless I was assured of a child free stay.

A hidden gem

I was reluctant to leave a review as I want to keep this place all to myself. Great spacious room. Excellent service, from check in, breakfast delivery and recommendations for walks, getting around, what to see and restaurants.
