「We loved the outside area to set along the water」

「100% would recommend staying here. It’s a slice of life in the late 1800’s. The room was clean and welcoming with authentic period furniture. We had drinks and appetizers at The Office Spiritorium which were amazing. There were preserved items from the hotel’s history in display cases, which were really interesting context for the hotel history. We also went over to the Diamond Belle Saloon for dinner and had such a great time listening to the piano music and experiencing an old west saloon. The...

「The location was great, perfect for strolling downtown, and there was a comfortable bed, but the hotel could definitely use a refresh as carpets were dingy and a bit stinky. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and soap though as well as the coffee and grab and go breakfast」

「Literally the best place to stay in all of Durango even for short stays. I always come here and had to go to a different hotel one time and immediately regretted not staying at The Leland House. It’s central to everything fun in downtown and so nice you might not want to even leave your room.」

「I would call the Hampton Durango a hidden gem. Top 5 likes were: comfortable bed and bedding, clean room, walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants and covered, garage parking, a big plus in an area that gets summer hail.」

「No free parking, they literally charge you 10 dollars a day for the privilege of staying at a hotel you have already paid for! Talk about a racket. Toss in the fact that the air conditioner leaked, the shower door would not completly close, the keys for your room would randomly stop working, and the breakfast is not complementary, and you have a substantially subpar experience.」

「Breakfast was fine, the bed leaned one direction, very bad. Smoking area right in the front and pretty trashy. Front desk staff was very rude and condescending, made a call and complained about us to a co-worker in front of us. Haha, crazy Much nicer places, maybe got what I paid for will not stay again」

「They didnt have enough staff. The lady working the kitchen was tending to guests requests with towels etc. , she was also manning the front desk. There was a carafe of hot water for tea etc that was cold , microwave didnt work in eat in area. The bathroom in our executive suite was not real clean, there was nastiness around the toilet by the floor. If that had been our first LaQuinta visit, we would never go to another. However, not all are like that. It needs some help with management.」

「The house was beautiful, historic, and very comfortable. The hosts were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding!! The location was perfect. We had a short walk to downtown in a quaint neighborhood with access to a fun area.」
