This is an older resort that is being renovated. Our cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The TV was tiny, but viewable from the placement of the seating. The docks were 4 feet out of the water and unusable, but Mark corrected this almost immediately. Lake access is good and the deeper water main lake are is about a 5 minute cruise. Musky Joes is a nice stay for a fishing vacation at a very reasonable cost. Robin’s Nest is a great breakfast cafe and is only about 2 miles away. There are many eateries nearby. Powells and The Dock are both recommended. 20 minute drive to Hayward with many eateries and shopping. Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and the Moccasin Bar are must see stops. The Wilderness Walk Zoo is also a must see during warm weather months.

Great cabin for a family vacation. The host was incredibly friendly, accommodating, helpful. Will book at this resort again.

Musky Joe’s, a great quiet place to stay!

Hosts were amazing, with great communication! Our cabin was perfect for a little snowmobile get away. With a new heating system in the cabin, you couldn’t even tell it was -20 outside!

This place has clearly been upgraded and cared for. It’s nothing fancy but it’s very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 4 plus dog. The owner was very communicative, helpful, and kind via text.

The setting is ideal, located on a back channel of the Chippewa Flowage. Scenery is beautiful. Nights are quiet and wildlife is abundant. The private docks are a short walk from the cabins that overlook them. I found the accommodations to be fine but those used to more modern rooms are cautioned that this is a traditional Northwoods cabin and one should not expect luxury. However, the room was fine at the price point and I would stay again without hesitation, unless I was traveling with a person who requires 5 star housing. Thank you Musky Joe’s for a relaxing vacation. I only wish the fish had been as welcoming.
