「Right near the centre of Buxton and train station. Stayed the night, standard room, but grand entrance when arrive. Parking charge £5 pay at reception.staff friendly no issues.」

「Amazing building, great spa area and has a lovely bar area too. Staff were friendly enough and helpful enough but you would expect them to at least ask if you have had a nice stay, or even say goodbye after you’ve checked out and paid the bill. On arrival we were also not given any directions to our room and had to ask. Five star hotels should be doing the basics properly in my opinion. Breakfast staff were brilliant but breakfast was underwhelming, unfortunately - why write on your menu fresh...

「Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great. 」

「The name says it all this is a lovely old hotel in a great location. I had an overnight stay after seeing a show at the Opera House opposite the hotel. I booked a double room and was given room 32 on the 2nd floor. A spacious room with a lovely bathroom which had a great sized walk in shower. The bed was comfy and I had a great nights sleep. 「The staff were very friendly and helpful and i felt at home right away. My room was spotless and the shower was fantastic! Also the breakfast pastry and tea in the morning were delicious! If I am ever in Sheffield I will definitely stay at The Jonas Hotel again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!」

We travelled early in the week in low season, so the pub understandably wasn't open on Monday and Tuesday, Also there is very poor sign for mobile phone and data and we were unable to get the wi fi password, which made contact for work a bit difficult.
