Great stay overall at the Avon Residence Inn! Staff were warm and genuinely helpful from check-in to checkout, room was clean and spacious with a great kitchen setup, and the hot breakfast was a solid start to the day. Property is quiet and well-kept. My only miss: the bed felt old — I could feel springs and it seemed slightly tilted to one side, which made sleep tough. With a mattress refresh, this place would be perfect. I'd definitely stay again.

Tamika checked us in and was so kind to us. Very helpful and great customer service. Breakfast was disappointing. Coffee was good. The problem I had was with the smell in the room. If you are going to allow pets, you need to find a way to not allow the rooms to smell like pet urine, which is what we smelled in the main living area. If I did not have to leave immediately for a wedding, I would have asked for another room. This was the second time at this location where we could smell pet urine in the room (first time I had time to change rooms).

Our room was never cleaned in five days. The staff could not make a simple change to our itinerary by adding nights that we had already added via Expedia. We had to go to the desk (and talk to them on the phone and chair via bot & email) over something we had already booked & paid for. The room was dingy, especially the bathroom. The air conditioner was so loud that I barely slept the whole time we were there. I would not return.

The staff was amazing! The location puts you right next to Dom's a local cafe which is an excellent morning stop. Also, take the time to check out the nearby Farmington Valley Arts Center gallery and artists studios. If you're a coffee aficionado, check out the Coffee Trade where they roast their own beans!
