"I could not have asked for a better stay!
This was our first visit to Clearwater and our group included a toddler, 2 preteens, and my elderly disabled parent.
Tony provided top notch service from check-in to check out. The entire staff was so attentive to all of our needs and made us feel so welcome. They even purchased a special bath mat for my mom and stored her wheelchair for the rental company.
Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee all day, hotel location was perfect (convenience store right across the street), free jolly trolley transportation, nice pool and calm beach. Area was walkable and felt so safe. It is hands down the best place to stay for families.

"I found it shocking that the beach was dirty in the morning. It was like a night club was there with all the bottles and plastic. City crew was on the beach at 6am. When I left at around 9am to go back to my room at opal, the beach was clean. This is not the resorts job because at least 50 more resorts, along with bars, restaurants, and stores share that coast in the gulf. And it is at least a thousand people on the beach daily. Maybe city crew should come at night or earlier than 6 AM. I hope they figure something out. But all in all my trip, the beach and activities was a 9.9999 out of 10. Opal I am sure share responsibility, but so do the other businesses and resorts. We should all do our parts. "
