「It was very exciting staying in a castle. We had the family room which was very quaintly laid out with a single bed in its own part of the small turret, through a stone arch. 「The room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained and there was a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was let down by the breakfast. The bacon was excellent, my sausage was pink in the middle so I only ate half, the mushrooms were tinned or something similar, the tomato wasn’t cooked and the potato things were frozen.
