We checked in at the hotel, which is located in Billstedt – just about a 3-minute walk from Billstedt Center, where you’ll find shops like Primark. The area has good public transport and nice dining options nearby, but it felt a bit unsafe in the evening. The hotel interior is very outdated. That wouldn’t normally be an issue, but unfortunately, within minutes of arriving in our room, we discovered two different insects – a centipede and a weevil. As I have a strong phobia of insects, we immediately called the reception. They said someone would come, but no one did. I went down to the reception to explain my situation and my phobia. The receptionist told me he was alone during the day and would call a staff member, but it would take 1–1.5 hours. That was not acceptable, as we were still expected to stay in the room in the meantime. Instead of offering any real help, he simply started checking in new guests. About 20–30 minutes later, the receptionist did come to the room – but by then, a third person (not from the hotel) had already helped us. Unfortunately, the centipede had disappeared, so we spent the night feeling uneasy and uncomfortable. We only stayed for one night, but we slept poorly due to the situation. Hotels.com handled the issue well, but the hotel itself did not offer any real assistance or take responsibility.

Dieses Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Hamburg direkt an einer Autobahn. Es ist sehr laut. Schlafen ist nur mit geschlossenen Fenster möglich. Die Möbel sind okay, wirkt ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Personal war sehr nett. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und nett zurecht gemacht. Das Obst könnte kleiner zurecht gemacht werden.

God service og gammeldags

Hotellet ligger lige ved en motorvejsafkørsel, så det er nemt at komme til. Man kan ikke høre trafikstøj på værelset. Der er kun ca 8 p-pladser til gæster bag hotellet. Men lige ved siden af er en kæmpe offentlig parkeringsplads, hvor man kan betale for parkering, hvis hotellet ikke har flere ledige p-pladser. Hotellet ligger tæt på Ubahn og Billstedt Shoppingcenter med mange spisesteder og butikker (bl.a. Primark I 3 etager). Hotellet er meget pænt og velholdt både på fællesområder og værelse. Indretningen er gammeldags og ligner noget fra 1990'erne, men det er velholdt og pænt. Der er udendørs elektriske skodder for vinduerne, som giver total mørklægning når/hvis man ønsker det. Stort badeværelse. TV med mange tyske kanaler men ingen internationale. Fin buffet i morgenmadsrestauranten. Billigere at købe på hotellet end via hotels.com. Der er flere caféer/bagere tæt på, hvis man hellere vil spise der. Vi havde en lille hund med, som blev mødt med smil og gerne måtte være alene på værelset (må ikke komme med ned til morgenmad). Utrolig søde og hjælpsomme medarbejdere både I reception og til morgenmaden. Byområdet virker lidt "ghetto-agtigt" og personligt vil jeg ikke bryde mig om at gå alene på gaden, når det er mørkt. Om dagen følte jeg mig tryg.

Zimmer ok - groß und sauber, aber alles sehr alt; leider kein Wasserkocher mit Tee/Kaffee auf dem Zimmer - für 4 Sterne sehr mäßig; die Seife im Bad war von Anfang an leer und wurde über mehrere Tage nicht nachgefüllt. Handtücher täglich getauscht, obwohl völlig unnötig.
