「This is a lovely hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The only problem was the room was very hot and we couldn’t open the window. Will definitely stay again」

「The cottage itself was a little dated but clean and tidy with everything you needed. The view was spectacular but the road leading to the property was not for the faint hearted and very challenging. The small cottage is one of several holiday let’s on the same property and as the larger property was fully occupied with several visitors during our stay and between 6-10 cars we had to park outside the front of our bungalow which meant we saw our car not the view. Not bad but good be better.」

「Hotel was very nice but old and could use some updating. Its in middle of nowhere with literally 2 miles of drive on narrow road in fields with no buildings in site. This did make it quiet. There was a nature trail that we did not have time to explore. It was convenient location for us as a stop on drive between Glascow and Liverpool」

「Wonderful views and the feeling of being in The Lakes. Good spaces for walking the dog. Rooms are spacious and dog friendly with the inevitable trace of dog hairs on the divan bed. I stayed at this place on my way to Buttermere. It allowed an early start on quiet roads and was cheaper than staying in any of the towns en route. I did not eat in the hotel but the nearby services have hot breakfast rolls and good coffe. 」

「We stayed for 3 nights and wished it could have been more. The hotel is in very good shape. Everything has been well thought out and the decor works seamlessly from reception to lounge, conservatory. Restaurant, corridors , landings and bedroom. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding. Lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent each breakfast and evening meal. The external seating areas worked well with well laid out patio and garden....

「They hosted a function which we attended, The staff were very friendly and helpful, the self catering room was lovely and well equipped and suited myself with mobility needs, as it was on the ground floor and had it's on entrance with only a couple of stairs, once inside the room it was all on one level, We also dinned in the hotel and the food was lovely.」
