"I went and asked where I could get my hair washed as I didn’t bring a hair dryer with me. They went and got me a hair dryer & hair straightener so that I could do my own hair. The staff were all amazing and helpful, rooms were clean, laundry service on site for you to do your own washing. 5 stars all around"

"Cozy hotel room, honestly perfect as you only go in to sleep and relax after exploring Tokyo. Very clean and quiet. "

"The hotel is extremely well situated, close to two metro stops as well as numerous restaurants and shopping. It’s is also very close to Ueno Park and the Sensoji Shrine. The room was clean and perfect for a few nights in Tokyo. The breakfast option was convenient and tasty. The staff were extremely polite and helpful when ordering a taxi for the airport."

"The hotel overall is not bad, but I've stayed in numerous other hotels in Tokyo and wouldn't choose to stay here again. The location of the hotel is very close to Ueno station, and some smaller stations as well, which is convenient. The rooms are similar to other similarly priced hotels in Japan in terms of size and amenities. Towels are replaced daily. I had a couple of problems with this hotel that lead me to review it a lower. - There was a drain smell in the room all of the time. This seems to be a problem with the hotel as my friend experienced the same issue in their room too. - You have to pay 1000 yen per item to store your luggage after 2PM. This wasn't something that we were aware of when booking the hotel. I haven't stayed in any hotel before where they charge for this (in any country, but I have stayed in lots of different hotels in Japan and never had this), and probably wouldn't have stayed here having known this. - One of the cups I received after my room being cleaned was dirty with stains and a bit of food inside. - One of the 'clean' towels I received had a mark on it. Based on the above, I can't give the hotel a higher score. I think they need to work on the cleanliness, sort out the drains and offer free luggage storage until the end of the day you check-out, as standard in most hotels. "
