"This is our go to place when we visit UConn. Very convenient; about 5 minutes from campus. Continental breakfast of cereal, bakery items, fruit, and coffee."

"House flooded so wanted to stay in town for a bit. Cost $230 for 1 night. Not up to standards of cheaper hotels. Only get 2 bath towels. Called desk only got 2 for following day. Bath had rust all around facet area, grout missing no working fan in bathroom. Heard workmen even on Sat. Am. Pool and workout room closed/renovations. You would think if there’s closed facilities Hilton would comp some price on room or have some food in lobby area. Something! I wanted to work out. Terrible stay at Hilton. Usually recommend to out of state visitors but no more."

"Booked this hotel thru Expedia and got a very good price. It is just around the corner from the Hartford train and bus stations so it's wonderfully convenient. Just a few issues - First, the front door on Asylum Street is locked, with no sign to tell folks to walk around to the side entrance. Second - when we opened the door to our room, we found that IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED after the previous guests checked out - bed not made, used towels all over the bathroom (!) The clerk apologized and gave us another room - mistakes are made, but this was so dumb! Third - the bathroom faucets had crud on them (not just tarnish, but some gunk that could have been scrubbed off). Fourth - nice breakfast room, but no packets of half & half for coffee, only those flavored Coffee Mate thingies; there was 2% milk in the fridge for cereal, but this was almost gone; instead of scrambled eggs they had these rubbery egg disks. Despite my 3-star rating, I would still stay at the Capitol because of the convenient location."
