We really enjoyed our stay at Riptide. It’s an outdated building but is kept up well. Check in was a breeze! I was even given a quick tour. The coffee window is quite nice for morning coffee. The amenities are great including beach chairs etc. Would love to stay here again.

Riptide has always been our go to when we stay at Hollywood beach. Only complaint we had were very loud neighbors above us. We will always go back to Riptide!

I would have given the property a 5-star rating but there are small things they could do to easily improve it. We knew it was an older property but we didn’t want to be in high rise. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We were on the ground floor and you could walk out your door into the Tiki bar and beach. It was nice sitting at the counter facing the beach each morning and enjoying our coffee. The rooms are what could use a little TLC. Beds were comfortable. Our party had three rooms. Live music most of the day and night was a plus! Loved the tiki bar and the fact that we could hang right outside of our room on the patio with tables. Coffee bar right onsite, too. Beautiful view of ocean and easy access to beach. Rooms are dated with no frills but the other pluses make up for it.

Very close to the beach, was nice to walk out the door and watch the sunrise on the ocean every morning. The hotel(motel) is ok for the price we paid and being able to cook in our unit. We dont drink and never ate at the bar/restraunt. The bar gets very busy and loud as they have love music and karaoke like 3 days a week minimum, honestly this didnt bother us at all with the A/C running and or TV on you can hardly notice. The karaoke is pretty entertaining actually. Overall id give three stars, the cleaning crew needs to do a better job and used a vacuum as the amound of sand is maddening, a duat pan in the room would have been great, and the kitchen utensils were very bare bones.

Location is unbeatable. The rooms are clean. We had an issue with our toilet, but maintenance came within 10 minutes and fixed the problem. We really enjoyed the tiki bar and the live music! It made for a fun vacation and great vibe!

We had a great beach view! We arrived very early but Front desk staff held our luggage for us while we sat at the tiki bar and waited for room to be ready. They had room ready for us by 1pm. Will be back.

The good, beachfront, a Tiki Bar and a good sized room. The bad, pretty much everything else. The parking was difficult, no ice machine, no in room coffee, the beds were too soft, it took the hot water a long time to heat up, the fridge was stuck on the coldest setting and froze all our stuff, I touched a lampshade and it fell off because it was broken, we booked a king room and got 2 queens. For $300 plus per night it was abysmal

Hotel is in a great location. right on the boardwalk and steps from the beach. within walking distance of many great choices for food and beverage. Room/hotel itself is very dated but clean and bug free! Folks that work at the hotel were very accomodating, friendly and overall helpful. Parking is a challenge especially if you get to the hotel when it is dark when checking in. they gave me great directions, but it took a while to figure it out. then the tightness of the parking spots gets to be a bit challenging. If someone else doesnt park properly or an oversized vehicle is in a spot - Good Luck if most spots are taken. I did figure it out and did not have any issues but it is a reason they do not get a 5 star.

This is third time we have stayed at Riptide. The room was clean and large. the location of the property makes it an excellent place to stay and enjoy the Well Maintained Hollywood, Florida beaches. We made a suggestion regarding adding a safety mat in the shower as it is very slippery. The staff , especially the bartender who helped us open the locked safe after offic staff had left for the day.
