Property has gone downhill over the past 5-6 years since I've been staying there. They've now monetized their parking lots by allowing the public to park for a day rate, crowding hotel guests out, adding congestion to the formerly very private beach area, making towels and chairs scarce. The slightest breeze causes them to refuse to place out umbrellas when other resorts that offer the same services nearby will put out umbrellas. The interior is beat and smells awful, there are signs in the common areas advising they're updating the interior soon, that is so tacky, don't put paper signs up, just do it. General comment and I understand a sign of the times, but the place is overrun by dogs, on the beach, in the water....doing what dogs do, even though there are supposed to be no dogs on LTBS beaches, the staff would never dare restrict it.
This place used to be kind of special, now it's just a place for the general public to be loud and trashy on the beach. There are far better options nearby.
