"PROS: The area is cute, walkable to buses, and there’s a sweet lobby kitty. The building is historic, with nice architecture. One front desk staff member was awesome, but the others during our stay were a bit less friendly. None were rude or unprofessional. They gave us fresh washcloths when they weren’t able to clean the room. CONS: The walls are so thin, we could hear all of our neighbors’ conversations, even though they were speaking in a normal voice. Our upstairs neighbors dropped their luggage (presumably) on the floor late at night and it was so loud my partner and I both jumped. We could hear their conversations clearly as well. The furniture, wallpaper, and carpet were well past their prime, and were perhaps last updated decades ago. The sink was cracked, and it took several minutes for the hot water to get warm enough to shower each time. The room ceiling had a crack across it. The old wooden baseboards, doors, and molding appeared as though they had been painted over dozens and dozens of times and still seemed to be aging poorly underneath. One day we asked if we could get our room cleaned even though it was around 1pm; they told us it was probably too late, and indeed, they were not able to get to it. The TV had live channels but no streaming. There’s no gym, pool, or onsite parking. The only amenities were Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and Keurig. It’s definitely not up to par with other similarly priced accommodations. I suspect it gets by mainly on the historic charm."

"Clean hotel inside and out. Valet team was professional, polite and prompt. Late checkout was easy. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern. "

"Room was much smaller than what was seamed on photos. Wide angle view makes us look much larger. Bathroom was fine but the actual room just enough space for bed and 1-2 feet are on each side of bed. That was it. No place to put your clothes. Only hooks on wall. Fridge will hold minimal items maybe one full subway sandwich so pack accordingly. They would not switch room to a larger one even when available for additional charge (maybe their policy is different but still did not expect that). No comforters just sheets to sleep under. "

"The rooms were clean. Any request we made was attended too. The breakfast in the VIP lounge was fairly good. The only one negative thing I can say about the place negatively was on Sunday morning. The VIP lounge was not stocked, and breakfast, which was supposed to be available at 7am, was not quite available at that time and there were several conferences starting early that morning in which hotel guests were attending. At 8:30, some of the drink items were still not stocked. "
