Apartment 3. Two rooms. Bedroom sealed like a Tomb and as hot as an oven - no aircon, no way to open windows, only a small ineffective FAN. Even with Heating turned down to minimum room unbearably hot. Fridge the opposite - was turned up to maximum and froze pepsi bottle and (more seriously) insulin stored in Fridge overnight. Great location, but overall not a good nights sleep so wont be back...

Although apartment was clean and comfortable, it was directly above a very loud and noisy bar/nightclub! Unable to get any sleep until after 2am when the music stopped. Glad i hadnt booked the apartment for my young family, as i was thinking of doing so in the future before i experienced last night! Such a shame as the apartment was very nice.

Great location, clean, spacious! Great for walking to Edinburgh sites, Royal Mile, dining, shopping. Comfy beds! Perfect for our family of four. Our only complaint was the noisy music and crowd at the club just below our apartment. It doesn’t close until 3 am. Be sure to take ear plugs! But we would stay here again…and be more prepared next time!

An excellent location with room for the whole family at a reasonable price. Pros: - walkable area, lots of amenities - clear check-in instructions, with flexible check-in and out options - cab service to airport that was so easy and cheap compared to many other options - can add on breakfast if you want - elevator Cons: - because of the age of the building, the plumbing uses a macerator. This is loud. - lack of hooks in the bathrooms, and places to set toiletries in the showers - a few cosmetic blemishes like dents in the wall - location a bit noisy outside with nightlife, but ear plugs solve that - some instructions on operating the appliances could be helpful Would definitely stay again!

Pros and cons of Room #12. Pros: Easy to find Great location Brian on desk was top notch Lift Washer/dryer Kitchen well stocked Bed comfortable Great bathroom Very clean and spacious Cons: Very noisy bar directly across street and open until 1 am made for late nights Washer/dryer instructions not the greatest TV a little wonky to figure out No early check-in after a red-eye Very hot, but fan supplied I would stay again if guaranteed a room at the back side of the building, but if not, then I would pick another as bar was overbearing every night (4 night stay). Windows have been fitted with extra glass, but I'm afraid that did little to deaden the thump, thump, thump of the base and drunken patrons leaving at closing time.

Professional, helpful staff. Everyone was very pleasant and went out of their way to answer questions, provide directions & offer suggestions on what to see. Apartment was clean, well equipped and perfect size.

As soon as we checked in we noticed the light in the bathroom was broke and flickering non stop. It was difficult to be in the bathroom at all with this light as it genuinely felt like a room used for torture. There was no reception as it was a Sunday so couldn’t report there. I called to report this immediately and was told I would receive a call back in 5 minutes. An hour later I had still received no call back so I called again and was told they forgot to call me back but that they couldn’t get a hold of the duty manager. He said he would continue to try contact the duty manager to get it fixed for us. I told them I didn’t want to wait about any longer and I was told this was ok as the duty manager could access the room anyway even if we weren’t in. Needless to say this wasn’t fixed when we returned at 10pm that evening and I received no further update at all, even now. I was here for the fringe and dealing with this meant staying in the aparthotel for much longer than I wanted to meaning we missed out. The issue itself left us with pounding headaches and flashing that seemed to continue well after leaving the room. This is so dangerous but in particular to those with epilepsy or prone to seizures. Overall a disappointing stay. In addition to the above, room was warm (although a fan provided) and too bright (only a blind that didn’t keep light out), place wasn’t very clean (mould and dirt across the flat). Location was good Save the headache (literally) and book elsew
