Milk in fridge. 8 minutes drive to Beamish museum. 4 minutes drive to a really good play park and splash area, by the river. Comfy beds and bedding. The accommodation was really clean. "The property is conveniently situated just off the main road in Barnard castle, it is at the end of a dingy looking alleyway with a very tight driveway. Upon arrival, the decoration looked aesthetically pleasing but we soon realised that most aspects of the house were badly designed/ not practical.The house was not cleaned well before we arrived, we had to empty a bin in one of the bedrooms which was filled with stuff left by the previous occupier, we also tried to vacuum as the floors were...

"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"Outside of the building looks grand and staffs are friendly. However, the room is small & bathroom is even smaller. Your leg can easily burn by the towel rail when you sit on the toilet. The elbows constantly either hit the shower door or the control switch. That’s how small it is. There is no direct access to the breakfast restaurant from the hotel because it’s in a out building. There is a bar in the hotel but probably only used for the wedding party. Overall is a good wedding venue but it’s not good value for a tourist in my opinion. For a small basic room like this you can paid £50 less somewhere nearby and will have a fridge in the room."

"The duty manager that was there upon arrival was really helpful. He sorted our carpark booking and also made us aware of the local restaurants for our evening meal. After going for something to eat, returning I found the bathroom tap to be loose, so reported it to him and he said he would get o=it sorted next morning, which was ok with us as the tap was of no issue to us. THe room was spotless, and the facilities were of good quality. THe bed was so comfortable. Aircon was a bonus as it was really hot. We didnt stay for breakfast as I was due for skydiving on saturday 23rd May so didnt want to eat too much. Check out was an easy process too"

"Easy car parking. Beautiful manor house with lots of history, artifacts and rustic features. The corridors are a little creaky but carpeted and steps leading to the upstairs rooms are shallow and with handrail. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room had all the necessary things - kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. WiFi was easy to connect to, there was an information point with leaflets for local attractions and the restaurant easy to book on arrival."
