Our stay was amazing! We arrived just before midday and reception were very friendly. Janet was very helpful and rang us an hour later saying our rooms were ready which was a brilliant surprise. Steven in the bar was a brilliant host and very friendly. This hotel is absolutely stunning and immaculate. Would definitely stay again, 5 stars!

A beautiful period building

This is a hotel with real character. Built as a civic building in 1905, the hotel owner totally renovated the guest rooms but retained the beautiful interiors along the corridors, in the restaurant, etc. In the guest rooms, there is a rarity -- lots of electrical outlets! Also, as this building was built solid, guest rooms are quiet -- you hear nothing from the next room. All the staff (check in, restaurant, cleaners) were very helpful and pleasant. I would stay here again.
