「The property is immaculately maintained, with an excellent staff and wonderful hosts (Jim and Leslie). Easy drive to Durango, hot springs, Purgatory ski slopes, etc make this one of my favorite B-N-Bs. The morning breakfast is just cherries on top!」

「All camp sites were booked out so we found this little gem. Would recommend as it is newly renovated and the host was super nice and hopeful. Allllllot nicer than motels/hotels/hostels nearby and nearly the same price. Bonus little outside fire pit!」

「Sink drain was slow, but other than that, everything was excellent. Great room (2 bds & a pullout sofa), good bathroom/shower, good breakfast, good parking, great front desk staff. We only stayed one night.」

「Beautiful historic hotel central to downtown Durango. Easy walking to all the shops and restaurants in the area, as well as the Durango Train. You’ll feel like you stepped back into the 19th century. Definitely worth the visit if you are looking for an authentic old west experience. The bathroom could stand an update, but it was kept very clean and met our expectations for an older historic hotel.」

「Nice old vintage feeling hotel. With working neon sign ! The lobby has beer decorations and the owner was very nice. Room was clean and everything worked in there. Yeah there was some small stuff with drywall a Karen could complain about but it didn’t bother us. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.」

「Many issues with the facility. Doors aren’t closing, no hot water, water leaking in bathrooms, drainage issue, so many bugs in rooms」

「The room seemed clean, but stunk so bad we had to shop downtown for room freshener. Even that didn't help. We think it was the nasty carpet, but seemed to smell even more when air conditioning came on. There also was a weird second connecting room door?? Thank goodness the downtown location is great. We didn't spend much time in the room.」

「They need to have better breakfast because they have the same everyday. And better maintenance in the rooms extracting fan in the bathroom was not working.」

「Charged us for the hotel stay one day early, before we even arrived, and when we called about it, the front desk was rude and angry at us, even though no hotel we've EVER stayed at charges a day early, she acted like it was completely normal. WORST ROOM I'VE EVER STAYED IN. A shoebox, with no room to move, the bed took up all the space in the room. PAY TE EXTRA MONEY TO STAY ELSEWHERE. It's not worth it, trust me. We left a day early because it was unbearable.」

「We have stayed here twice. Highly recommend this property. Oksana who helped us check in both of our stays made the experience perfect. She is super friendly, makes you feel at home and is very helpful with recommendations for dinner as well as making us a reservation. Parking is easy and close. The checkout lady was also pleasant and helpful making us fresh coffee early in the morning to get us on the road.」

「We loved staying at his hotel, it's in a lovely location at the side of the Animas River, people are beautiful, the food at the restaurant was very good same as my Martinis, the ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, the parking lot in front of you, the only thing is that they missed to clean a room one of the days, but that we can live with. But we didn't miss the warm delicious cookies at the evening.」
