"​ ​​The room was filthy. My husband and I checked in and I began our usual ​hotel routine of wiping down light switches, the counter, ​toilet, and floors. But the place was disgusting. 1. I used the hotel soap and put it beside the faucet. When I picked it up again, the bottom side had black and brown smears on it. 2. The wipes used to clean the countertop ended up brown 3. The wet Swiffer ​floor wipes ended up black 4. I also found a long hair on one of the dingy towels​ and noticed that the coffee pot had built-up dust all over it We had to go to meet family, but when we came back, my husband took photos of: 5. The broken vent in the bathroom 6. The hole in the bathroom door that looks like a large rat chewed through it 7. And, the brownish/reddish/orange stains on the bed sheet​. It was late, but we ​thought it would be worth all the hours to drive back home. ​My husband said the clerk didn't even seem surprised when he handed in the key and told him we were leaving because the room was dirty. He asked for a refund and was told no. We paid $113 to not sleep with bedbugs. Yes, it was worth it to drive all the way back home, but it would be nice to get a refund."
