"The location of the hotel is excellent, nearby is Pontocho Alley. A short walk away is the main shopping street where there are Uniqlo, Loft and Medi-ya and many more restaurants. The room is clean. We got a Superior King room that has a separate toilet and bathtub/shower area. The room is big enough for 2 adults with 2 suitcases opened. We enjoyed the toiletries provided. We asked for a quiet room and it was quiet. Not much of a view but the tranquil and comfortable rest was much appreciated after a long day of touring Kyoto. Super clean and no musky smell that some hotels have. Both the exterior and interior of the hotel is modern and chic. Overall, we had a great stay."

"i've booked with this hotel twice already. immediately after my first trip i was adamant that if i came back to kyoto again i had to rebook at this same hotel. the hotel is very close to the subway station and has many convenience stores nearby. it was great having laundry available and the service was very cheap as well. the highlight of this hotel is the onsen there are many different baths. I do wish that the women's bath had an ice bath though as the mens bath did. however the onsen was perfect to decompress after a long day of walking. they have tattoo covers available free of charge as well. they also offer free yakult and ice cream during the day and night respectively. the night time free soba in the cafeteria was also great for a late night bite. their morning breakfast buffet was also amazing so much variety, definitely worth it. overall whenever I'm in kyoto this hotel will be my first choice over other accommodations. from all of my travels this hotel is definitely one of the most memorable accommodations i’ve stayed at. highly recommended."

The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. My room was comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The check-in process was smooth, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Hotel Solaria to anyone visiting Japan and would happily stay here again."

"Beautiful hotel. Everything was high quality. I loved all the little perks like local coffee beans with our own coffee grinder in the room, free ice cream and snacks downstairs, motorized blackout blinds, traditional Samue (long-sleeved top and pants) for the onsen. Speaking of the onsen, it was beautifully done, a large pool in black stone with wooden sides, a huge window with plants outside, but also private. The staff is great. Sheets and towels were all high quality. The only downside was the noise from the busy street below. The windows look double pane, but they could not keep out all the noise. Despite that, I slept well and would recommend this place heartily."

"We had a lovely stay at the Kyoto Brighton Hotel. Located north of the main city center, it offers a wonderful, quieter escape, though you should expect to take a taxi to get to the main train station and most major sightseeing hubs. For us, the location's unique perks far outweighed the distance: Historic Walkability: Nijo Castle (Kyoto Castle) is well within walking distance and made for a fantastic, highly enjoyable excursion. Local Neighborhood Vibe: We absolutely loved walking around the immediate neighborhood. It feels authentic and local, yet remains incredibly convenient. Within a short walk, we found a great grocery store, several 7-Eleven locations, and a very handy coin-operated laundry. The Best Part: The hotel is an easy, beautiful walk to the expansive Kyoto Imperial Palace park grounds. One minor downside to note: Be careful with your physical room keys! The hotel will charge you a fee if you lose them or if you want to keep one as a souvenir. Overall, if you don't mind relying on taxis to venture further out, the Brighton offers a peaceful, authentic, and highly comfortable base for exploring Kyoto."
