"After a good few years, I decided to return to the Opus Hotel. Unfortunately, the disappointment was—and remains—even greater than before. This is certainly not a 5-star hotel. There is no on-site restaurant or bar (though there are two restaurants located within the building). The breakfast service—staffed by only a single waiter taking orders at tables set with tablecloths that had clearly already served several other guests before you—does not make for a very good start to the day. As for the room, there is no minibar, and the bed linens are worn and torn. You have to specifically ask for a bathrobe and slippers. In the bathroom, I found a clogged toilet bowl and a used bar of soap left behind. In the spa, time seems to have stood still; you get ushered out of the pool area even before closing time. The staff—tired and overworked (really?)—seem to be asking, "What do you want from us?!" For over $400 for a single night mid-week, I have every right to expect certain standards to be upheld—especially given that this hotel claims to be a 5-star establishment!"

"There is no separate refrigerator other than their cash bar…we had to put our personal drinks and birthday cake outside on the patio to keep it cold. I wish they would offer more vegan options in the restaurant. Other than that, the staff was very nice. Great views! Room was clean, bar was great! "
