"Property was unique and charming. Staff was accommodating. Food was good. Pool was heated and lovely. Staff went above and beyond to make stay it’s best. Only concerning issue is property is very large and challenging physically due to layout. If over 60 make sure you ask for best room location. "

"We arrived very early (noonish) from the airport and were expecting to wait for our room. They quickly checked us in and we were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and interesting to walk through. Great history of the hotel. Found everything to be immaculate. Close to Petco park which is why we were there. We found a great little place for breakfast (Cafe 222) just a few short blocks away and a Ralph’s a couple blocks...

"The Sofia was wonderful to stay at. Rooms were small but the quality of amenities in them made you overlook the size of the room. Loved that it had a microwave. Easy parking. Walking distance to many city locations. Highly recommend."

"The hotel was good, clean, staff was friendly. It's a great place to stay! We were hoping to enjoy Old Town across the street, and they have good Mexican food, but little to do even just in an afternoon and the area is a bit rough, but if you're only looking at the hotel you'll be happy with it."

"Quiet, comfortable, other than the bathtub -which I could rub the dirt off w/my finger, was very clean. Appreciated the restaurant on site ( the Mediterranean salad was very good!), and coffee bar. And, it’s just a skip, hop, and a jump to the airport. "
