Convenient Location, but Not Quite a “Suite” Experience
The Sofia Hotel was clean and conveniently located, which we appreciated. However, there were several downsides to our stay. There’s no restaurant on-site, which wasn’t a major issue overall, but after a long day of driving and being at the beach, we would have preferred the option to dine in without having to leave the hotel again.
The A/C was extremely loud—it made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom door offered almost no privacy, as it was partially see-through. There were no complimentary waters in the room, which felt like a small but noticeable miss.
Also, we booked what was described as a suite, but there was no door separating the bedroom from the sofa bed. Our daughter could see directly into the bedroom, which defeated the purpose of booking a suite for added space and privacy.
Overall, it was a decent stay for the location and cleanliness.
