「Clean room」

「overall good!」

「I think small details are lacking in this place, they need a grounds person to tidy things up as it gives a bad impression even before you enter the hotel, then inside the furniture is very tired and the place needs a refresh. Staff were really good but let down by their hotel itself. Food was average at best!」

「The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night....

「友人と2人で夜遅くまで街を飲み歩き、ほぼ寝るためだけに利用しました。部屋は清潔で、WiFiも問題なく使えました。イギリスの伝統的な建築物の自宅の一室という感じでした。ホテルを希望している方には向かないと思いますが、イギリスを感じたい旅行者には最適だと思います。 夜中にシャワーを浴びようと思いましたが、暑いお湯が出ず諦めました。朝は問題なく使えました。アメニティは一つもなかったので、持参が必要です。ボディはソープが空ボトルでした。 交通量が多い通りのため、朝は車や人の声など騒音で目が覚めました。また夜中はパブの上のため帰ってくる滞在者の声や階段のきしむ音など響き、静かに滞在したい方には絶対にお勧めできません。 8月中旬の滞在で、ちょうどいい気候だったため、扇風機で部屋の温度は快適に過ごせました。窓も少ししか開けることができないため、それ以前の暑い時期の滞在や暑がりの方には、冷房管理がされているホテルなどが良いと思います。 価格と立地かまた利用したい思える宿でした。」

「Big changes since new ownership- none of them good unfortunately! 👎 Since new owners came in: Soap in rooms GONE ❌ Shower gel in rooms GONE ❌ Biscuits in rooms GONE ❌ Real butter in restaurant GONE ❌ Local cheese at breakfast GONE ❌ Fair midweek room rates£ GONE ❌ Measly penny pinching! Sad to see as the excellent staff here look demoralised by what’s happening around them! I sense they’re embarrassed! If your budget runs to a standard double room you’ll experience an uncomfortable dated...

「We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in this elegant and historic building. The grounds are well maintained and the highlight is the walled garden with a large variety of fruit trees and a maze that puzzled us for a while!
