「I loved the size ov the room, it was like a home away from home. The room has small kitchen area, living room, big tv, lots of storage and surfaces to store stuff, comfortable beds. The pool is saltwater, but sadly not heated. The hotel was centrally located to the river, restraunts and shopping.」

「The property was nice enough. The lobby was nice, the staff were friendly. However, the room had a distinct, unpleasant odor. I thought it would dissipate as the stay lingered. Alas, it did not. The toilet ran all night even after inspection and jiggling the handle on multiple occasions. After Night 2 of a three-night reservation, I couldn't take the lack of sleep and odor. I checked out and left for another property. The front desk didn't ask why I was cutting my reservation short or if...

「After leaving another property after sleepless nights, I checked into Hampton Inn South. I met Jacky at the front desk, who was awesome. He made sure I had a nicer room than the one I was originally assigned. He was so kind! The stay was delightful--so much so that my fiancé and I extended our stay an extra night. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone exploring Owensboro and looking for an alternative to the downtown district (which is also lovely!).」

I was also given a room on the second floor which was really inconvenient given my two young kids. Also I don't think it's wheel chair accessable up there. People leave their trash sitting outside their room because they don't empty the trash cans often enough. On my second night I got woken up at about 1am by someone banging on my neighbors...

「We stayed in room 121. Do not stay in that room. It is by the exit door. You can't get any sleep. Someone was leaving & coming all night long. When the door Closes it makes a Loud noise. The room was nice and clean. Hotel staff was really nice and polite. It was our first time staying there & we will stay there again!」
