"Wonderful experience! A stately & historical large ryokan nested on the eastern hill slope of Gero town. My second stay at this ryokan & will continue to stay there next time I am in Gero. Very good vista of the town in the morning or evening. Very large garden & landscape, with tall tress & seasonal flower trees.or bushes.. a beautiful & varied feast for the eyes & senses if one come at different seasons... Has its own hotel museum to showcase it's checkered history & early artifacts, etc....

"I had the privilege to stay in one of the rooms with the beautiful view of mountains and the city of Takayama. The staff was very pleasant and service was amazing. I also enjoyed the experience of the hot springs and would higly recommend anyone if they would be staying in Takayama, to come to this hotel."

"Room was clean and beautiful view of River and Gifu castle from my 8th floor. Complimentary breakfast was delicious with a great variety of cuisine, juices and coffee. Spa was great with hot tub, sauna, crystal clear pool and clean robes, towels etc. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Gifu anytime in the future. "

"This is a wonderful place to spend a few days. The ryokan is very authentically Japanese. The staff was helpful wherever we needed them. The food Is good, though our best meals were in restaurants in Takayama. Most of all, the hot springs are AWESOME. The water is so thick with minerals, so rich. We didn’t want to leave."
