"Very conveniently located near the Takayama train station. Great hot-spring baths and 3 private baths for those who are not used to a shared environment. Very walkable city with lots of great restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. The historical part of the city is only 10-15 minutes of walking distance. Buffet breakfast was delicious but would recommend exploring local restaurants that serves breakfast as well."

"We loved our stay here. It’s a traditional ryokan that feels straight out of the 70s with gorgeous furniture and rotary phones. The rooms are a good size with comfy mattresses. The location is good, only a short distance from the train station. The onsens are great and often empty so you get them to yourself. The staff speak limited English but are helpful and friendly. "
