「Enjoyed our stay!」

「Everything worked great for my stay. I was only there one night, but it if I was there longer, I definitely think it would be worth it to stay closer to the main property area in order to take advantage of amenities more easily.」

「Room was on floor 2 level parking lot. We had to keep blinds closed anytime we were in the room as cars and people were coming and going. Water pressure was weak. The restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday we were not made aware of the either on the website or check in on Sunday. Lobby is cozy and the little shop was nice and offered reasonably priced snacks and grab n go items as well as gifts. Outdoor fire pits and chairs are great, the fun zone games area was also to have. Location is...

「fire pit with wood, chairs and s'more kits. Unexpected treat!」

「Beautiful view!」

「Amazing front Lakeview」

「it was by the lake superior which was so nice」

「Poor to no heat in room internet was down most of the time tv didn’t work. Staff was condescending and not accommodating」

「Loved the convenience and close access to the gunflint trail as well as the beautiful spot on the lake. Room was clean and comfortable. Community kitchen was a little inconvenient, but the other guests using it were flexible and friendly.」

「Pros: stunning sunrise view over Lake Superior, premium location of lake view rooms; Everything is within perfect walking distance just out the door!; full kitchen and comfortable living room furniture and patio seating. Cons: Expedia was very expensive, pricing might have been better direct booking; very hard bed- sunrise thru the windows made up for it, but for pricing I expected much more comfortable bed!; no private pw for internet opening up big risk to people staying there. I wasn’t able...

「Loved the location for visiting state parks along N Shore. Loved the view from the balcony.」

「Couldn't stay the second night of our booking because the beds were so uncomfortable. One had a giant hole indented in it. The staff said they would change our rooms but they were booked. We had to leave town early because it was so bad. :(」

「Enjoyed our short, stay. Kitchen supplies were limited, but definitely sufficient for our cooking needs. Loved the private deck to listen to the waves. I didn’t enjoy quiet time.」

「It’s clear that this hotel has been recently and thoughtfully upgraded. It’s in a great location for everything in Grand Marais as well as close to several hiking trails. The room was clean and it’s clear that the staff cares. There are a few finishing touches that I would recommend to make this place amazing: A privacy latch on the exterior door that guests can secure once inside, a hook for the hand towel, a couple of hooks inside the bathroom for towels or clothing, trim-holes filled and...

「Biggest drawback was the price - at least 40% higher than it should be, if not more. Very disappointed in what we experienced for what we paid. The “vision” of the the place and the intent is higher than the execution. Maybe if was better whenever it first opened. The online photos are way more appealing and attractive than the actual unit. The decor — quaint and rustic - it’s fine. There was a huge (definitely not needed) portable A/C unit right inside the door, along with a portable oil...

「The views from the property are outstanding. The Bluefin Grille restaurant is convenient. Good food and a great staff.」
