"Great place - we loved the view. The lodge has a lot of great, creative free activities for kids, families and other travelers. It's clear maintenance is focused on the high priority items - the rooms, common areas, and grounds are great (beautiful pollinator gardens!)."

"This is a beautiful property right on Lake Superior. My room had a large deck out the back door with an expansive view of the lake. The lobby is incredibly furnished and inviting. Jackie was always very helpful. Honestly, I was "blown away" with how nice this property is. I chose well and hope I can come back sometime."

"Our room was clean but the bed was so-so for comfort. Carpet in the stairway was dirty and torn. We enjoyed the huge whirlpool as well as the whirlpool bathtub in our room."

"Our room was very nice and appeared to be recently updated. This is a “self service” kind of place so there is no maid service during your stay. There is a number you can call if you need anything. It is a great location right across from the harbor so you can walk to everything in downtown Grand Marias. I would request a second floor room next time for better views of the harbor."
