「What a fabulous place to stay. Superb location, extremely polite staff. We both enjoyed a lovely evening meal together and the breakfast was the best in along time which is local sourced. 「Dog friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free on site parking is very convenient. Easy walking distance to Fox Valley and all its amenities. On occasions, at weekends, rooms at the front of the hotel, you can hear people leaving the pub at the end of the night. Although the noise doesn’t go on for long. It has never put us off staying. 」

「Lovely ancient pub in this Pennine village. Staff could not have been more helpful. Property in good condition (the sloping floors are just a mark of the age). Food standard pub fare, but well presented.」
