Don't stay here

Had no hot water for two of the three days. Room was cramped and bathroom was tiny with sink in the room. Will never stay here again.

Humble is right

Their website says humble rooms - quite so. I hope we got the worst one in the hotel. The lobby and restaurant were clean and nice looking but the room really needs help. Could have been a fun off-the-beaten-path experience but just ended up sad.

UNIQUE PROPERTY

This is a very cool place to stay, not for the whiny five star types but if you enjoy unique, historical settings this is the place. I hope to visit on future trips.

Main attraction about this hotel is its history

The most special attraction about the hotel is its significance in the history of the Spiritualists that moved to Central Florida at the turn of the century and established Cassadaga in Lake Helen, Florida. , The stick style houses that are occupied by psychics that provide readings that surround the building, are also very charming. However, when it comes to the comfort of the hotel, there a lot of areas that come up short, such as renovations to the hotel are not the best quality, bed mattress was lumpy, air conditioner is a window unit that really did not cool well (especially in July), hot water in the tub took literally 10 minutes to warm up, least expensive room does not include television in the room, and though WiFi is free, it really doesn't matter because the signal is mostly non-existent especially if you're in your room.

1930's Environment and facilities

A very friendly layed back environment and probably and great place to hang around, I had done no research and was just looking for a reasonably priced hotel near Daytona Beach to spend the night and leave. The issues I had was the room had no desk and chair, the bathroom facilities were very old (long time for water to get hot, but was notified of this at check in), no TV, etc..

Old rooms

Hotel was built in the early 20th century and rooms do not look like they were ever renovated. The lobby area is quite charming, though, and there's a good restaurant in the hotel. There's not much to Cassadaga other than the spiritualist community located there and a bunch of phony "psychics."

Only hotel in the immediate, so not much of a choice. One can call it charming in an old creepy musty rusty hotel kind of way.
