"I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were excellent, especially the head of housekeeping. All her staff were professional and polite and really made me feel comfortable. The room was clean and well presented. The shampoos and showers gels were great quality. The room has no AC but did come with a fan and windows that open. The restaurant , again the staff were lovely and whilst initially the prices seemed a little high the food quality was bang on. I had the chicken Caesar salad and had two massive strips of bacon and the most perfectly cooked chicken breast I think I have ever had. Really well situated for the Peak District never having to travel more than 45 mins even for the furthest points of interest. My only two little niggles were the pillows were very lumpy and not much filling otherwise. Also I was on the first floor and the windows are full length out on to the car park area so everyone could see me when near the bed . Some nets or even some frosty on the lower section would be good. Otherwise great value for money."
