The self check-in was easy, the room immaculately clean and nice comfy bed. Good value for money and I would stay again, thank you! Parking was bit limited around the back although I managed to find a bay just fine. One has to remember this is a public house so noise does go on quite late as you would expect.

Nice place with helpful nice staff, but no good at all if it is hot. Rooms are not air conditioned so like all English buildings trap and keep heat.

What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! The pub has a friendly atmosphere, happy customers and a fab live band played. Do check if there is a live event during your stay and do join in! We would stay again to have good value access to the beautiful area of our ancestors. D and J, in our 60’s.

Clean, modern rooms

Lovely clean, modern rooms. Rear entrance could do with bringing up to standard with rest of property, but this did not affect our stay.
