"The property owner was very unresponsive. It was missing a few important amenities, which we then purchased under our own cost. Although the owner promised that we will be reimbursed for the cost, no actual reimbursement was given. There were water leakage in multiple spot which the owner failed to provide any solutions on. "The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"The resort was going thru something maintenance,pools,n the buffet could b a little bit more help only one cook for hundreds of people in the morning rish for breakfast."

"We have stayed there many times and this time was the worst. We arrived a day late because our flight was delayed due to weather. They would not give us credit for the night we lost. The front desk staff were not very friendly. The tv didn’t work and someone came to fix it only to tell us that they had no free tv. If we wanted to watch tv we had to have a subscription to streaming services. The food was horrible. They convinced us to make reservations for dinner in the restaurant inside that is only open now for dinner. We waited and went to our reservations only to be denied entry because my husband had dress shorts on and not long pants. When we told them he didn’t have any long pants with him they just said he couldn’t go in. We had to eat elsewhere. Food is very limited as to what you can order just at certain times. They advertise the swim up bar is now open when it was only open the day we arrived. We arrived the Friday and left the Tuesday and it was only open on the Friday The pool water was extremely cloudy. We only saw them clean the pool with a net to remove floating things in the water the whole time we were there. I sent the resort messages since Sept 4, 2025 and they never answered any of them. We even wanted to upgrade our room and we still didn’t receive an answer. They have only about 5 employees there that go out of their way to help you in any way they can. We usually go once a year there but this was our last trip staying there. All inclusive is a joke."

Iberostar Waves Cozumel - All Inclusive

"This was a second stay for us at the Iberostar Cozumel. This time was a mother/daughter trip, although each of us had been here on previous separate trips. We've been to Mexico countless times and stayed at many all-inclusive resort. The rooms here are clean and the beds are comfortable-I was actually ill the first time we stayed a few years ago and was so grateful for the bed. The rooms in general are spare with just a very small table and 1 small chair plus a TV on a dresser. The bathroom was well-equipped with a nice shower and good towels. There's a nice deck in front with chairs. The food at the buffet was good, not great but good variety. The Mexican restaurant was good, but the smokehouse/BBQ food was very disappointing. The snack bar at the beach was a mix. Average food, but good for a late afternoon snack. It was kind of disgusting to see a small flock of little birds eating from the ice-cream dispenser, literally sticking their beaks into it (Avian flu? Germs?) Perhaps a netting could keep them away. The pool and beach areas were both mostly clean, and my one big complaint from both visits is the lounge chairs are never washed. Many of them are covered in tons of bird droppings and unusable. I don't know why they can't be hosed off every morning as I've seen done on other resorts. We didn't view any of the shows, so no comment on that. The people who work here are super nice, helpful and friendly. Erica from the restaurant visited with us twice."
