「A little bit showing it’s age and therefor shabby. Bits of wood falling off in the kitchen, sofa springs at the end of their life, fuse box buzzing annoyingly, water pressure low. But then there were things that were just poor. Poor design, thoughtless. Like TVs that are rediculously high on the wall, mirrors that are too low, shower doors so big so that its a pain to get in and out of the bath, blackout curtains that don’t actually blackout because they have been mounted poorly and let in...

「We booked airport pickup through the unit. A taxi picked us up from the airport, took us to the office for key pickup, then the taxi took us to our flat. The office was a 10-15 min drive from the flat, so this was very convenient. Highly recommend taking advantage of this option. They told us to leave the keys in the apartment which was convenient. 「We were surprised by the check in process. You have to collect your keys quite far from the apartment. So plan for a delay to use transit or a two-way taxi fare. The apartment was dirty. Mould in the closet. The beds were terrible (one like an air mattress & the other was hard as a board). The pillows were so used they were hard packed. The air freshener system is needed because a sewage smell came from one bathroom. The photos used to advertise the unit were not the same as the unit we stayed...

「I have never had an issue communicating with a property using Hotels.Com but that was the case with Griffith Hall. The person who registered us said that it was a common issue for them. In the end, things worked out but it could be a problematic issue. The residence is just that a college residence. Don't expect a regular hotel experience. And be prepared to use public transit to get anywhere or walk a lot. It is not in a central location.」

「The room they assign to us was very comfortable for 4 people. The 1 bathroom is on the hallway, and the kitchen/dinning room/sofa bedroom has a door, so everybody gets privacy. The area is not turistic so may look not safe but it is literally 2 blocks from everywhere we wanted to go, except the Guinness tour which we walk to in 22 minutes. The check in and check out process was very easy and the personnel was very responsive. I would come back here.」

Although it’s usually student accommodation, they absolutely make it feel like a proper hotel experience during stays. The whole place was spotless, modern, and really well maintained. 「The property was very modern and clean. Depending on which place you rented keep in mind potential for carrying luggage up flights of stairs. Wifi was a bit of a challenge with 7 guests. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great for walking Dublin and would recommend this place to others.」
