"When traveling to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach this is my go to place to stay. Price ias always reasonable, even during the summer. I can always expect a quiet nights sleep. This property is not for those who wish to party all night. "

"Great location- right off highway, fishing pier I. Walking distance, straight drive to VA beach and convenient to other parts of Norfolk
Great deal - its decor is older but it served my family well.
Great communication - local rep responded immediately when we overlooked an email. "

"Absolutely Horrible – Do Not Stay Here
This property should not be listed for rent. When we arrived, it looked abandoned—broken windows on the ground floor, no exterior lighting (very unsafe at night), and the key was difficult to retrieve from the lockbox. As soon as we entered, we were hit with a musty, stale odor that made the entire place feel like a haunted house.
The ground-floor bathroom door literally fell off the hinges when opened. That bathroom also flooded, making it unusable. There was mold, rotting wood, no soap or towels provided, and we had to buy our own sheets because the ones provided were questionable.
One of the beds on the first floor broke while we were there, and upon inspection, we found several loose screws clearly used to patch it together—a sign that this wasn’t the first time it had broken. The entire property is held together with quick fixes that eventually fall apart.
We also encountered bed bugs, a cockroach, and cracks throughout the unit. Overall, this property is in extremely poor condition, and I would never recommend it to anyone."
Step back in time at this early 20th-century estate on the Lafayette River, with beautiful gardens and a renowned art collection that spans 5,000 years.
