The first room we were assigned was unbearable—the odor was overwhelming, and there was visible mold on the ceiling. We requested another room, and while the second room was slightly better, it seemed like a large amount of air freshener or cleaning product had been used to mask the mildew smell rather than address the underlying issue. 「The room had a musty smell. We had to ask to switch rooms. We switched, and the smell was even worse in that room. We got air freshener from the front desk. Everything just seemed old. 「The staff allowed us to drop our luggage off before check-in so we could go off to do other things and that was nice. The mattress was fairly comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine. Otherwise it was an unpleasant experience. The room was dark and dingy. The furnishings were worn out…the easy chair had stained fabric, the bed sheet had a hole in it, and the handle on the folding door to the bath was missing.
