No heat. Sagging bed. Decent response. Great location.
Williamsburg was a last minute stop on our vacation and we were elated we made the trip. The location for our property was amazing. Walk to everything and the area was really beautiful with much to do. House was fun as it was in the colonial period.

Clean room - bathroom very out of date, very courteous, professional staff
It had a all-time colonial Williamsburg feel I felt very safe yet still in the middle of town, which was so nice to see. The facilities were also very nice.
The facility and surrounding area was fine. Food at the Inn left a lot to be desired. I highly recommend Christina Campbells Tavern for dinner. You must make a reservation. We went off site for breakfast and dinner a couple of times
Francesco’s Italian restaurant on Richmond Road was exceptional

The room was clean. The staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.
you are located right in the colonial area of Williamsburg which is really great . The rooms are small and it was a bit tough to connect with cleaning staff to make up our rooms. I am glad we tried it out, but I think I will head back to a more traditional hotel for a few more amentities
The colonial cottage is a great place to stay when visiting Williamsburg. It gives visitors a feel for living in the community as it might’ve been years ago. Perfect for families or larger groups. Fully equipped kitchen makes dining in an option. Would stay here again.
The room was very cozy and provided easy access to all the attractions of Colonial Williamsburg. We had a great time and enjoyed being able to wake up and be in the historic area.
This was my wife and myself 6th trip to Williamsburg. Previous 5 trips were with family and stayed at one the resorts outside of the park. This trip was just the two of us and stayed in the Chiswell-Bucktrout. Nicely modernized with a comfy queen bed/private bath with the ambience of an earlier time. Loved our stay.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The Tavern rooms were charming and clean. And it was convenient and enjoyable to walk to the Williamsburg Inn for more high end dining and amenities. I would recommend this stay and vacation resort,
We usually go several times a year to Williamsburg. This was the second time we stayed in the Colonial Houses. It’s a true experience. Nothing fancy but if you’re a Williamsburg enthusiasts like we are, then you would enjoy staying in the housing. They are conveniently located within walking distance to all the activities.

Location was great; but, room is extremely basic and not worth the price. There was mold on bathroom ceiling. Room needs to be cleaned and painted. An extra blanket in the dresser stunk badly when I opened the drawer so I just closed it back up. There's very little attention to detail in room maintenance.
It was comfortable and in a great and unique location. The bathroom was not as clean as I would expect it to be. I had already paid the total on Expedia and yet was charged a resort fee when I checked out. All in all I would stay here again but not in the tavern.
