"The room was large and sparkling clean, with two beds and a seating area. We appreciated the large windows with a street view. The location is perfect— right in the heart of Stirling."
"Fantastic. It was a little strange to learn that the front desk was mainly unattended, but that didn't end up being an issue at all. Wonderful, comfortable room. Quiet, except for that moment at around 2am when the entire country cheered Scotland's goal in the World Cup. The only thing that was mildly inconvenient was the parking situation. There is a parking lot behind the building, but it wasn't cheap. Parking at the bus station down the road was much more affordable, but a bit of a walk with luggage, etc."
"The location is excellently situated in old town and it is within walking distance to Stirling Castle. As a Hostel, it has exceeded our expectations with its spacious public lounges and kitchen. The facilities were well maintained and staff were friendly. The only complaint we have is that the room we stayed in was lack of air circulation. It was an unusually hot day and the only window in the room could not be opened. The Hostel did not have any portable fans for lease. Overall, we had a great time visiting the castle and the Indian restaurants in town was not to miss."
"Hotel was nice and room was spacious and clean, we noticed that the bar area was quiet and no one in the restaurant, mybe they could do some offers on food to entice customers in also if it had some entertainment in the bar we might have stayed in, only gripe I have is having to pay for parking in a hotel that should be free, "
"Excellent location in Stirling a few minutes walk from City centre.
Comfortable quiet room at rear of hotel with a double bed gave plenty of room for me as a solo traveller.
Shower water pressure was on the low side but hot enough to use. Toiletries were complimentary."
"The location is just perfectly in central Stirling. Our room had a view of the Wallace monument! A v short walk gets you to shops, restaurants, train station, bus station, library etc. For us it was luxury, comfy beds, plenyy space, welcoming foyer and people. We were half hour early for check in and it was no problem. Would have like to partake of their 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' s that are organised there"
"This is an historic building, so be prepared that it is not modern in any sense. Floors were uneven, not many outlets, etc. But this is to be expected in a building this age. Our room was not ready at check in, but they offered us food and drink in the lounge while we waited. Convenient location to walking to the castle and into town. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast in the morning. Staff were helpful and kind. Check out was quite early."
