"Sadly the first room had scaffolding at the window due to works. The bathroom only had a bath. Staff quickly offered me another room which had a shower and more space. The rooms are a little dated. Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Evening meal was good but breakfast was a-bit of a let down. Would return."
"A clean, comfortable room and great, easy-going staff. I arrived very late after a long day getting lost walking the wall (after the kitchen closed and was shut) and the bartender was kind enough to put together a meal for me - very much appreciated when arriving in the dark partially covered in mud The beer they brew on site was also excellent."
"Lovely room (Derwent!) My second stay but had this room both times and it’s my favourite room already. Sizeable room, spotlessly clean. Staff are great, with nothing too much trouble.
Food is great. Large portions of well prepared and delicious food. Breakfast is great too.
Great location for exploring the local area"
"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "
"We were made to feel welcome on entry. We arrived late but the manager asked the chef if she would make us a meal. Tasty good quality food.
The room was spotless, all the staff were welcoming and helpful. We will come back for our next stay in Corbridge,"
