「Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again.」

「This was not a B&B as advertised. This was a grim, empty beach house where the owner, who lived an hour away, remotely answered the doorbell to tell guest how to find their keys. The only good thing to say about it was that the owner refunded my money promptly when I frantically was able to find proper accommodations.」

「This was our first visit to see what it was like to give us future options and to compare it with Doxford Hall where we usually stay for short breaks. 「The property was close to Bamburgh Castle and Farne Islands that is great in summer for Puffins. We were given the smallest double bed room even though we booked a proper queen room that were available.」

「This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night.」
