「This is a fantastic pub to stay and dine at. 4 nights here with wonderfully comfortable and quiet room. Excellent staff, great evening menu and food. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing walking right from the front door, car did not move for the whole time. The breakfast is the only thing that needs attention… the full English is good quality and well cooked but took 30-40 mins to arrive and on cold plates - easily rectified I hope. 「Room was clean, spacious and nicely furnished, modern but in keeping with the age and style of the building. Breakfast was fantastic, with a really nice menu to choose from. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Soutsea and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend paying the extra for a parking bay at the front of the hotel as street parking could be tricky. We stayed to visit family in Southsea and will definitely use this hotel again!」
