"Car park opposite is ideal and super close to town which is great. Hotel is however so dated, and cleanliness in rooms and outside of hotel is not great. WiFi doesn’t work. Everywhere creaks as you move around so woken by other families throughout stay as people moved through hotel. Hairdryer broken, toilet seat broken, shower pointless and dirty, throw on bed dirty, windows grotty. "

"Windows were so dirty you couldn’t see the beach well. There was a dirty chip on the floor of bedroom from a previous customer. Entrance and stairs were in poor condition, with general public able to access the corridors for the bedrooms and the room keys were not needed. Position was ideal. Hotel needs updating desperately. "

"Tried to order a couple of different meals, but they were out of ingredients, which for a hotel of this size is poor in my opinion. Other than that a good hotel at a good price"

"Pictures are very deceiving. I would not recommend this place at all unfortunately. Our room was beyond basic, there were marks all over the walls, something spilt down the side of the broken bedside table, no headbords, the window frame had burn marks on it and was mouldy and filthy. The taps in the bathroom were leaky and I have never seen a shower so mouldy. Had it not been so late when we got to our room I would not have stayed. I didn't see a member of staff when we left, so couldn't raise my concerns. I did ring the bell several times, nobody turned up. I left feeling dirty and tired, this hotel is really not fit for paying guests, sorry."

"All of the staff were extremely helpful and the hotel itself is a historic gem. Remember to try the breakfast, it was excellent"

"Pool was great, room was outdated. Few dirty marks on sink and dirty spoons. Kept awake most of the night loud slamming of doors, screaming and also a clicking noise outside of our room. Didn’t sleep. "

"Nice room but no housekeeping for three days. Do miss having the bed made. Nice breakfast but wasn’t fully prepared first thing so had to wait for stuff to be brought out. "
