"Im more upset with Expedia for this experience. This hotel was listed as Carcasonne and we should have done a little more homework but we were strapped for time. This hotel is located nowhere near where we wanted to be (the heart of Carcasonne). It was a $40cdn uber and when we decided to eat the cost of the hotel and go somewhere closer the ubers were not coming out that far. The hotel itself is fine but has a very cold almost robotic feel. "Room was ok, stayed in worse but it was adequate for 1 night - bathroom could do with a deep clean though! Breakfast was ok but nothing special - good location for restaurants and the medieval walled city close by "

"The location to the castle is 2 nd to none. A 5 minute walk is all it takes to be at the castle. We booked for Bastille Day. Spent the day walking around . We had lunch then returned to 514 , showered and changed. Returned to the castle for supper . Watched the fireworks display which was breathtaking. Fantastic location.The room was clean and equipped with fridge, 2 ring hob, microwave, coffee maker ( one pod machine and also a filter machine) Well worth a visit and great value for money."

"Great welcome from Sandra and Fred who gave us access to property 2.5 hours before check in time. They were friendly , helpful and generous throughout our stay. (Do try The food especially Fred’s signature apple cake.) Apartment comfortable and great for a few days rest half way through out our around France. The 48 steps to the flat plus 18 to the bedrooms will keep you fit! Enjoyed Carcassone and La Cite. A great stay!"
